Language Environment
The language environment of a program is part of the runtime framework of an ABAP program and includes the following:

Language settings The language settings defined by the logon language and a text environment language control all language-dependent behavior of an ABAP program.

Format settings Country-specific formatting settings that determine, for example, the format of numbers, dates, times, and time stamps.
