Core Data Services
Infrastructure for defining and consuming semantically rich data models. On the AS ABAP, CDS is implemented as ABAP CDS. There are also other implementations. CDS schema notation (CSN) is a data format for data exchange that can be used, among others, to exchange metadata between different CDS implementations.
