If you are not familiar with SAP notes please see here for more information about SAP OSS Notes and how they are downloaded and implemented using transaction code SNOTE.
Basically, an OSS note is a support fix supplied by SAP that can be downloaded to your SAP system and often automatically implemented using transaction code SNOTE. <br
Once a note has been downloaded you can read the full details including a description, cause of error, solution and list of objects that will be affected. It also contains installation instructions, details of any manual changes or pre-requisites which need to be carried out. You can also see if a new version has been released as well as see if the note is valid for your current SAP system landscape.
To find out how to do this simply follow the below instructions which will take you through the process step by step:
Step 1 – First check if SAP OSS note has already been downloaded to your system
To check if a note has already been download execute t-code SNOTE
Then click on the SAP Note Browser icon
Now enter the note number (i.e. 379269 ) and press execute.
If note exists on your system it will then be displayed along with the note details and its implementation status (i.e. can be implemented, cannot be implemented or obsolete).
If the SAP note does not exist on your system you will receive the message “Unable to find SAP Note that meets specified criteria”
If this is the case you will need to download the note to your SAP system also using transaction SNOTE. For further details see Download SAP OSS note using SNOTE.
